Marti Skold-Jordan: Let the Journey Begin

Today I embark on an adventure to China as a part of the American delegation to China for the International Beijing Creative Science Competition and Conference.

Along for the adventure, my friend and fellow STEM colleague Caroline Sullivan who is the Executive Director of NCBCE out of the N.C. Governors office, two retired educators and four brilliant students who are going to represent our great country and compete.

So, I leave RDU with anticipation and excitement and an incredible curiosity of how life will be in this foreign land. I am anxious to share our Science Education and STEM programs with other countries and cultures and learn how others inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

What will tomorrow bring?  I will wake up on the other side of this great planet ready to explore, discover and learn.

And so it begins.
