Holly- Thoughts from places: Detroit

It’s 10:30 and we’ve already been at the Detroit International Airport for 2 hours. Here, it still hasn’t quite hit me that in just 15 hours, we’ll soon be across the globe, in a whole different country, with a whole different language, a whole different in and of itself.

It’s been seven years since I’ve gone back to China and I can’t help but think that everything about this trip is novel. All of us here: the students, Fran, Tom, all of parents and rest of the members of our group we’re all experiencing this journey together.

I can’t wait to see what kind of experiences and memories we all make together. Until then, I’ll just wait here for another couple of hours before our plane comes.
