Jenny: Great Wall!!!

Today, we left our hotels in Northern Beijing, but first we went to the Great Wall!  The part of the great wall that we went to was called Mu Tian Yu. It was really nice there because it wasn’t as crowded as some of the more popular sections. The four students decided to walk the whole way up and down the Great Wall! It was a steep climb, so I’m glad I didn’t fall this time. I also met some Taiwanese delegates along the way and picked up some Taiwanese slang!

In the afternoon, we headed to Wangfujing, which is close to the center of the city. For lunch we went to a ramen place then got some tea, which our friend Hao had recommended. I got Oolong tea topped with a cheese cap, which was delicious. The streets of Wangfujing remind me of Time Square. You wouldn’t be able to tell a difference if it weren’t for the Chinese celebrities on the billboards!
